BGMI 2.7 Update: Everything You Need to Know About the Dragon Ball Super Collaboration

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is one of the most popular mobile games in India, with over 50 million downloads on Google Play Store. The game is constantly updated with new features, modes, and events to keep the players engaged and entertained. One of the most anticipated updates of BGMI is the 2.7 update, which will bring a massive collaboration with the iconic anime franchise, Dragon Ball Super.

Dragon Ball Super is a sequel to the legendary Dragon Ball Z series, which follows the adventures of Goku and his friends as they face new threats and challenges in the universe. The series has a huge fan base across the world, especially in India, where many people grew up watching the show on television. The collaboration between BGMI and Dragon Ball Super is a dream come true for many fans, who will get to experience the thrill of playing as their favorite characters and using their signature powers in the game.

The BGMI 2.7 update will introduce two new modes based on the Dragon Ball Super theme: Dragon Ball Super Theme Mode and Dragon Ball Super Character Mode. These modes will infuse the game with awe-inspiring elements from the Dragon Ball Super universe, offering players a chance to wield extraordinary powers and embark on thrilling battles.

Dragon Ball Super Theme Mode

The Dragon Ball Super Theme Mode is a special mode that will be available from August 9 to October 9, 2023. This mode will transform the classic BGMI battle royale gameplay with various features and items inspired by the Dragon Ball Super series. Players will be able to collect seven Dragon Balls, summon Shenron, and make game-changing wishes at the Shenron Summoning Altar, procuring potent in-game enhancements.

The mode will also feature four novel Dragon Ball Super areas across the Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok maps. These areas are Dragon Ball Village, Tenkaichi Budokai, Kame House, and Karin Tower, which are designed to mirror the settings and architecture from the series. These zones will be teeming with treasures for players to unearth, such as Hoipoi Capsules that can transform into Air Cars for fast mobility.

The concept of Ki, which is integral to the Dragon Ball saga, will also play a crucial role in this mode. Players will be able to acquire Ki by consuming Senzu Beans or collecting Ki Crystals. Ki will empower players with enhanced mobility, enable them to use the iconic Kamehameha beam for obliterating foes, and introduce the Buku-jutsu (Levitation technique) for free-spirited aerial navigation at running speeds.

The mode will also feature hidden Dragon Ball Trials, where teams must track down seven Dragon Balls and protect them from enemies. The locations of the Dragon Balls will be visible to all players, making the hunt more challenging and exciting. The team that manages to collect all seven Dragon Balls and summon Shenron will be able to make a wish from three unique options: Full Restore (restores health and energy), Ultimate Weapon (grants a powerful weapon), or Zone Advantage (shrinks the safe zone around the team).

Dragon Ball Super Character Mode

The Dragon Ball Super Character Mode is another new mode that will be available from August 9 to October 9, 2023. This mode will introduce an unprecedented gameplay shift previously uncharted in BGMI. In this mode, players will relinquish conventional weaponry and embody five Dragon Ball Super characters: Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, and Ultimate Gohan. Each character will have their distinctive primary and support abilities, such as Goku’s Spirit Bomb or Vegeta’s Final Flash.

The mode will also introduce Spirit Crystlets and Spirit Crystals to refuel energy and upgrade moves, ascending up to Level 4. Players will be able to find these items across the map or by defeating enemies. Additionally, the mode will feature innovative elements such as Teleport Points and Updraft for strategic map traversal and manipulation.

The objective of this mode is to survive as long as possible and eliminate other players using your character’s skills. The last player or team standing will be declared the winner.
